Q: What is the difference between a bounce house, inflatable, moonwalk, spacewalk, bouncy thing, bouncer, and a fun jump?
A: These are all terms used to describe the same thing! People call bouncers different things depending on which part of the country they come from.
Q: How far in advance should we reserve our bouncer?
A: Reserve AS SOON AS POSSIBLE! Our bounce houses book up very quickly and are rented on a first come first serve basis! Our water units frequently book months in advance! However if you are in a bind and need a rental on short notice, just give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
Q: What surfaces can bouncers be set up on?
A: Bounce Houses can be set up on grass, gravel, dirt, cement, or asphalt. Many of our units can be set up indoors as well. Please indicate surface type with your reservation especially if it is any surface other than grass. Units set up on hard surfaces require different accessories that we do not carry on our trucks unless they are scheduled. Please call with any questions.
Q: What is your delivery charge?
A: Sky High Bounce provides free delivery, set-up, and take-down in Albany and Leesburg. A small delivery charge may apply in some other areas. Your inflatable will be set up and ready prior to your scheduled time. We come back after your party and take care of all the take-down as well.
Q: How does the jumper stay inflated?
A: All of our jumpers require a standard 110 three prong outlet for our blower motor. The jumper must be placed within 100 feet of this outlet. If it is to be placed in a field or further than 100 feet of an outlet then you would need to have a generator. Sky High Bounce can furnish this, however, we would need advance notice and there is an extra $50 rental fee (1 tank of gas included) Due to our limited number of generators, generators are only available with inflatable rentals.
Q: What kind of deposit do you require?
A: At Sky High Bounce we try to keep it very simple. A $25.00 deposit is required per unit when placing your order. We require the deposit on credit card at the time you place your order online or by phone. We may require you to show a valid ID at delivery. The deposit is applied to your total order which must be paid in full by delivery.
Q: What if it rains?
A: At Sky High Bounce we have a simple policy – if we set it up we expect payment, if we don’t set it up we don’t expect payment. Weather is very unpredictable in that it can start or stop raining at any time. If it is a downpour and forecast for heavy rain all day we would not set up. Otherwise, we really just “play it by ear” and stay in contact with you prior to your scheduled time.
Q: Is there anything I need to plan for?
A: Yes, please make sure you do these eight things…
- Turn off all sprinklers including under ground sprinklers.
- Adult supervision of all children is required at all times.
- Bounce houses need an electrical source. Generators are available for an extra charge.
- Plan a spot in a grassy area away from your house
- Remove toys, twigs, rocks and any animal droppings from this area. (You don’t want pet poop on your things and neither do we!) If we arrive to set up and there are animal droppings you will need to remove them and we may have to reschedule so as not to make other customer deliveries late.
- Provide water for thirsty bouncers to drink outside of jump house.
- Plan a food, drink and snack area a safe distance away from jump houses.
- Keep all party toys such as ‘silly string’, other toys, and food away from bounce houses and slides.
Q: How do I make a reservation?
A: You can call us at 229-421-9533, or email us at chasity@skyhighbounce.com or use our online booking system under the RENT NOW!!! tab!
Q: How can I pay?
A: At this time we accept credit or debit.
Q: Why was my credit card declined?
A: In this wonderful electronic age, many of us receive electronic statements and pay our bills online. As a result of this we sometimes don’t think to change our address with our financial institutions when we move. For your protection we use a secure credit processor that verifies your billing address when you make a payment. If your billing address does not match the address you entered it will automatically be declined. If this happens please do not attempt to renter your information as this can cause multiple holds on your account. Please call 229-421-9533 and unless the card is declined for insufficient funds I can usually correct your billing information and put the original charge thru for you.
Q:Why is my bank showing more than one charge on my account?
A: Please first read the answer above. Every time you enter your billing information and request your card to be charged your bank places a hold on your account for the amount you entered. These are not actual charges but rather are holds placed on your account by your financial institution that usually fall off by the next morning. Please do not enter your information more than once! If your card is declined please call 229-421-9533 and we can usually make address changes that allow your original charge to be processed.
Q: Do you charge for delivery?
A: Depending on the size of your order, if you are located outside of Albany or Leesburg a small delivery charge may apply.
Q: How much room is needed to set up the inflatable’s?
A: In general there needs to be at least a 2 foot buffer around the entire unit. We refer to this as the “Safe Zone”.
Q: Can inflatable’s be set up inside?
A: Yes. The area needs to be large and tall enough to accommodate each inflatable. Please contact us if you have any questions.
Q: Is Sky High Bounce insured for events on public property like parks, schools, churches, etc.?
A: The short answer is Yes! Sky High Bounce is a fully insured. We will provide a copy of the insurance policy upon request. We currently only schedule events at parks and public places for large events such as school, church, government, corporate and festival events. Each event in public locations requires a special insurance certificate which we are glad to apply for large events. Please do not book public locations online as they will be cancelled. Many public places require the Liability Certificate to list them on it. This can take up to 5 days to receive the certificate so please call in advance to schedule events at public properties. For events on public property, additional insurance may be required. Municipalities, schools, churches, and other venues may contact us in advance to make the proper arrangements. The lessee or using party shall be in charge of operation after receiving each unit. Sky High Bounce is not responsible for any injuries occurring to lessee or to any persons using the leased units or equipment or to any damage to personal property.
Q: Can I rent a waterslide at my apartment or mobile home?
A: We are unable to deliver to apartment complexes, mobile home parks and even many duplexes. Please call before booking online. Because of liability issues can only deliver to fenced in areas where the public cannot easily walk up to our units. We will haply check the location ahead of your booking to see if we can deliver.
Q: Are jumpers safe to use?
A: Yes, our units are constructed for commercial use. Our units are constructed from heavy duty vinyl materials, have safety ramps, and are equipped with emergency exits. You will be instructed on the proper safety procedures upon delivery. There should be no problems if all the safety rules are followed.
Q: Do adults need to supervise the bouncers?
A: Yes. An adult needs to supervise each bouncer to ensure each child’s safety.
Q: Are your inflatable’s clean?
A: Yes! All of our units are cleaned before and after every event. We use the same anti-fungal, anti-viral (including anti-coronavirus), anti-bacterial cleaner used in many hospitals and gyms to sanitize our units between each use. We buy high end, expensive units to appeal to our customers. The last thing we want is for our units to be damaged, stained or full of bacteria and to become unrentable. Remember we are inside these units cleaning them and our children play on them. We need them to be properly sanitized for our families safety as well as yours. We also physically inspect each unit prior to use.
Q: Do the inflatable’s get hot during summer?
A: Most of our bounce houses are equipped with roofs. However it may become quite warm in the units during the hot summer months. You may want to try one of our water slides/combo’s during the summer, or use the jumper in the morning or evening hours.
Q: How many hours do we get the equipment with each rental?
A: Every bouncer rental is for up to three days. We can make different arrangements to suit your event needs. Additional days may be purchased for a significant discount.
Q: Is there a cleaning fee?
A: No, not for normal usage. However, if excessive cleaning is needed, a minimum fee of $50 will be assessed. If you leave a sprinkler on while a wet unit is deflated you may be charged up to $150 dollars for the removal of water from the unit. It may take three workers to vacuum enough water out to remove it from your property. If you use silly string on the unit you can expect a minimum $500- $6,000 fee. Do not use any chemicals to clean the unit as they may damage the vinyl and you will be charged for damages.
Q: Can we use silly string on the bouncers?
A: No!! Silly string destroys vinyl, therefore destroys our unit. A replacement fee of $500- $6,500 will apply if silly string damages our equipment. Silly string leaves an adhesive forever on our equipment. It initially discolors and removes the fire coating, then continues to act as an adhesive on the vinyl attaching dirt and small particles to he unit. This makes our units look disgusting, dirty and unrentable.
Q: How much time prior to the event does Sky High Bounce set up?
A: We generally set up one to a few hours before the party start time and pick up the unit 30 minutes to a few hours after your party. On some occasions we may need to leave the unit overnight at no additional cost to you.
Q: What if I need to cancel my order?
A: You have 7 days prior to your event date to cancel for a full refund. If you have to cancel within 24 hours of your event time, your payment becomes a credit and is transferable to another date. Once the delivery has arrived it is too late to reschedule your event and you will be charged a $50 non-refundable fee. There is no fee for weather related cancellations. You have the option of a full refund or credit if rain is scheduled during your party time provided we have not yet delivered the unit.
Q: How much ice is needed for the Snow Cone machine?
A: ½ pound of ice per serving. Example: For 100 servings you will need 50 pounds of ice.
